ROYAL FIXATION has won two of her three starts and should be unbeaten having been narrowly denied by Venetian Sun two starts ago. However, she duly went one better when scoring at York last month, and with plenty more to come, Ed Walker’s filly is fancied to take top honours.

WISE APPROACH is undoubtedly the one to beat on the form available. He was last seen finishing a good third in the Prix Morny and had previously bolted up in a Listed event. His second in the Norfolk also reads well, so he looks sure to make a bold bid for the Charlie Appleby team.

REAL GAIN is a strong fancy in the Cambridgeshire. His handler appears to have laid him out for this event and his comeback run when third at Goodwood looked like the perfect-prep run. This C&D winner has also been dealt a good slot in stall 22, so he earns the vote to potentially execute this long-term project. The classy and consistent CASH is another to consider.

QUIESCENT returned as a very good winner at Chepstow earlier this month and she’s open to further progress. GWEN JOHN only found one too good when runner-up in a hot race at Doncaster a fortnight ago and is a key player, along with last month’s Chepstow winner QUEEN TAMARA.
