Newbury Place 6 Preview | 20th March
14.00 BetVictor Novices’ Hurdle
LE FRIMEUR appears to be a promising prospect based on his hurdles debut success at Chepstow, where he had plenty up his sleeve and could be anything. This is a stiffer task but Harry Derham’s youngster has the potential to rank higher and is fancied to remain unbeaten.
Tips: LE FRIMEUR

FRESH KICKS lacks experience in this field compared to his rivals but he’s unexposed and ran to a decent level of form over hurdles. He should be thereabouts, while CAPTAIN BELLAMY has some good course form in the book and is a leading player off top-weight for Nicholls and Cobden.
Tips: FRESH KICKS & CAPTAIN BELLAMY
15.00 BetVictor Handicap Hurdle
FAIVOIR is still capable of smart form and was last seen finishing an honourable third in the William Hurdle over C&D. He’s down in grade off a 2lb lower mark and is versatile in terms of conditions. The 11-year-old is fancied to roll back the years by making his class count at this lower level under Heidi Palin.
Tips: FAIVOIR
15.32 Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Handicap Hurdle
PEACENIK ripped apart a good field under a positive ride over C&D last time out and a similar effort could well be on the cards. It’s no surprise to see him hit with a 9lb rise but he’s going from strength to strength and clearly enjoyed the extra yardage last time out. The seven-year-old is fancied to repeat the dose under Gavin Sheehan.
Tips: PEACENIK
16.07 BetVictor Handicap Chase
HOLETOWN would ideally prefer softer ground but the way she went through her race when scoring at Ludlow was impressive and the handicapper has only put her up 6lb. At a track that her trainer and rider do well at, it would come as no surprise to see her run well.
Tips: HOLETOWN
16.42 BetVictor Home Of The Saturday Superboost Handicap Hurdle
NAME ME NICELY improved significantly from previous efforts to finish third on handicap debut at Ludlow and the form might be given a boost by the runner-up who runs earlier on the card. I think there is more to come stepping up again in trip for his in-form yard and jockey.
Tips: NAME ME NICELY
