13.25 Highclere Thoroughbred Racing Geoffrey Freer Stakes

Dubai Honour is undoubtedly the class act and the one to beat. However, he does have a bit of an absence to overcome and it’s possible a race-fit TABLETALK might just have his measure when push comes to shove.

Tom Clover’s reliable sort and has finished second on three of his last four starts, including when denied by only a neck on his last two. He deserves to get his head in front and this might be the occasion he does so.

13.55 D&H, Excellence In Nutrition Handicap

HUCKLESBROOK looks a standout choice in my opinion. A three-time winner over this trip, he landed a much stronger event at York last year off a mark of 88 and is 3lb lower now.

That’s without his rider taking off a further 5lb, so although his two recent runs haven’t been great, his reappearance fourth over C&D is solid form. I think he will run well.

RIVER SPEY is the other one that has taken my interest. He’s only a few pounds higher than when winning a strong race at Windsor back in June and has the ability to make an impact if getting away on level terms.

14.35 TPT Fire Handicap

SCOVILLE ought to find this easier than the task he was set at Goodwood and retains potential, so he could easily bounce back.

However, ADDISON GREY has run well on both previous course starts, and while this will test his stamina, if he stays then there’s no reason why he can’t have a big say in the matter.

15.10 Visit Malta Hungerford Stakes (Group 2)

A Group 2 winner at two, COPPULL should be able to make a serious impact. He was last seen finishing a very good fourth in the July Cup and ought to find this easier. If his stamina holds out then he’s undoubtedly a major contender.

15.42 Darley EBF Novice Stakes

MOSHEER has a smart pedigree and represents a trainer in good form, so he’s one to consider, while SAINT MUNGO is another that catches the eye and it’ll be interesting to see if the market speaks in his favour.

16.20 Summer Fun At Schools’ Celebration Raceday Handicap

MASTERINTHEWOODS has been really consistent of late and backed up his Salisbury success with two seconds at Goodwood and Ascot. He looks sure to be thereabouts once more.

TRYFAN won a much stronger race at Ascot when last seen and is proven over further, so if he can back up that performance then there’s no reason why he cannot have a big say in the outcome.
