Mystic solo player turns €5 into €5,215 at Warwick

One mystic player pulled off an extraordinary feat in the Warwick Win 6 racing pool on Thursday, by turning 5 into 5,215.74. Here’s how it happened.

The player opted to invest in five 1 lines for the pool, meaning that they were playing for half of the £10,276 prize. Remarkably though, they seemed in no doubt about the result in five of the six legs, only selecting multiple horses in one.

In the first leg of the day, the 14:00, they sided with My Charity who got the ticket off to a winning start, placing first at a canter. Attention then moved to the 14:35 and another favourite, Danseur Du Large.

As they reached the penultimate fence, the second favourite, Cooper’s Square held a 12 length lead over Danseur Du Large who was the next best placed horse in second. However, Cooper’s Square was noticeably tiring and made a meal of the final hurdle which allowed a re-energised Danseur Du Large to decimate the lead.

With a thrilling finish, Danseur Du Large won the race narrowly on the line, putting our player safely through to the third leg and reducing the remaining pool units to 373 from the 1,843 that had originally entered.

The third leg was significantlty less nailbiting for our player, as Midnightreferendum comfortably outpaced the field to win by several lengths, never looking in danger on the home straight making it three consecutive favourite victories and, more importantly, three winning legs in a row.

Next came the 15:40 and Ardera Cross confirmed that Warwick was to be a truly fantastic card for favourite backers, win a four horse race by three lengths to easily justify starting odds of 10/11. Our player had four winning legs in a row and things were looking great.

The 16:15 featured seven runners and our players was clearly less confident about the result, selecting five of them in total with Constantine Bay, Barney Dwan, Nestor Park, Robin The Raven and Potters Hedger all on side. It was definitely the correct race to show less trust in the favourite, Nestor Park, who pulled up after a promising start.

One of the two horses that our player didn’t support, Max Forte, ran on to finish second but it was Robin The Raven who won easily to put our player through to the final leg in the pool.

Diverting from their earlier policy of backing favourites, the player put their faith in Follow The Swallow who went off at 5/1. As they went round the home turn, Follow The Swallow was level with Butlergrove King and as they rose to leap the second from last, it was still neck and neck.

Showing a fantastic turn of pace though, Follow The Swallow rocketed clear to win by around seven lengths. The win sealed our player a magnificent 5,215 return that will certainly ensure that they have a blinding weekend. Congratulations!
