Ludlow Place 6 Preview | 4th February
13.13 Racing To School Juvenile Hurdle
I like the chances of WOLF RAYET. He has shaped well on both hurdle starts and the form of his hurdles debut second at Chepstow has worked out well with the third (Matiwo) bolting up since. With more to come, this four-year-old can serve it up to the favourite back in calmer waters having finished a solid fourth at Cheltenham last time out.
Tips: WOLF RAYET

DIAMOND DU BERLAIS placed several times in France under similar conditions, including in Grade 2 and Grade 3 events. Having her first start for Willie Mullins, with Patrick over for the ride, she ought to prove hard to beat. Her handler has found her a golden opportunity to make a winning start.
Tips: DIAMOND DU BERLAIS
14.23 Ludlow Members Novices’ Hurdle
It might be worth giving another chance to KIWI RUSH. Harry Derham’s charge has shaped promisingly on both starts in this sphere and should find this a lot easier than when fifth at Cheltenham when last seen. This soft-ground bumper winner can have a say in the outcome.
Tips: KIWI RUSH
14.58 Attwood Memorial Trophy Handicap Chase
TAX FOR MAX isn’t as good as he used to be but surely he’s going to pop up when most least expect it. He was a good horse when trained by Willie Mullins and is totally unexposed in this sphere on just his fourth chase start. He’s slipped to a mark of 121 and is JJ Slevin’s only ride on the card.
Tips: TAX FOR MAX
15.33 Late Roy Kneller 85th Birthday Mares’ Handicap Hurdle
HARD DEALT has made a positive start to her career, with a win and three runner-up efforts to her name. She must be well handicapped off a mark of 108, especially based on her narrow second to Jaminska at Chepstow last March. With plenty more to come, David Bass can guide her to success.
Tips: HARD DEALT

FOLLOWING A CHAPTER appreciated the return to a longer distance when opening his account at Warwick five weeks ago, and this extra yardage with more to come, should see him follow up. He looks the answer to a race lacking strength in depth.
