OCTOBER HILL has found life tough of late on the course but this is a weak event and I’ll be surprised if she’s not capable of getting heavily involved. David Pipe’s candidate is back in maiden company and has more experience than most, so hopefully she can put that to good use.

BOND BROKER is fancied to defy his big weight under Harry Cobden. Paul Nicholls’ charge has yet to score over fences but he again only found one too good at Windsor when last seen and should appreciate the return to this longer distance. He can make a bold bid.

15.20 Omnia Art Handicap Hurdle

The Ben Pauling-trained FOURONEOHFEVER an achieved a smart level of form on the Flat and has shaped with promise on all three starts in this sphere. Dropped in class, with his trainer in excellent form, the five-year-old is fancied to open his account under Kielan Woods.

15.50 Bromfield Sand And Gravel Handicap Chase

All four of these have some sort of chance with the marginal vote going to UNCLE PHIL. He is undoubtedly the best of these given past form and enters this grade for the first time in his career. His last win came off a 17lb higher mark and he should be able to build on his latest third at Hereford. He can get the better of Tax For Max.

16.20 GC Rickards Ltd Handicap Hurdle

KRAK has been keeping much stronger company for this stable and is sure to appreciate the ease in grade. He is down to a handy mark and will be much more at home than when down the field in the Lanzarote Hurdle last time out. The top-weight could go well under JJ Slevin.

16.50 EFG Harris Allday Open Hunters’ Chase

A chance is taken on KILLER CLOWN, who is a very capable horse in his prime and is more than capable of giving a bold showing of himself on hunters debut. He will be competing over his favourite distance and conditions will be in his favour, so he’s one to consider.
