Five possible Liverpool summer signings

According to the latest transfer rumours, Liverpool are willing to sell several players in order to fund a swoop for some big names. The players in line to be sold by the Reds this summer are Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri, Naby Keita and Dejan Lovren. So who are Jurgen Klopp’s top targets? Let’s have a look at five possible Liverpool summer signings.

Five possible Liverpool summer signings

Adama Traore – Wolverhampton

The latest Liverpool transfer news and rumours have suggested that the Reds are hoping to land Wolves winger Adama Traore. Although the 24-year-old has attracted plenty of interest from English and Spanish clubs this season, it seems like Liverpool could be his next destination. Traore has had an exceptional season, with six goals and 12 assists in 43 appearances.

The former Spain youth international impressed with his performance against Liverpool earlier this season and Jurgen Klopp now wants to add him to his squad. Klopp said the following about Traore: “he is unplayable in moments, it’s unbelievable. What a player, it’s not only him but he’s so good”.

Initially, Wolves were hoping to receive at least £80m. However, as a result of the Coronavirus crisis, £60m could suffice if Traore is to become one of the Liverpool summer signings.

Ruben Neves – Wolverhampton

Adama Traore is not the only Wolverhampton player drawing interest from Liverpool as Ruben Neves is on the list too.

The 23-year old still has a contract of another three years, which means Liverpool will have to pay the full price if they want to acquire the Portugal international. Rumours are that Jurgen Klopp has made the signing of Wolves star player Ruben Neves his number one priority for Liverpool this summer.

Ryan Fraser – AFC Bournemouth

Ryan Fraser’s Bournemouth contract has expired, meaning that interested parties can now sign the Scotland international for free. Fraser rejected a  short term contract extension from the club which would have kept him on the south coast until the end of the season, bringing an acrimonious end to his spell at Bournemouth. He will probably move to another Premier League club in the coming weeks.

Although Fraser has been playing for relegation candidates, it isn’t concern for Jurgen Klopp who has had great success recruiting the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Andy Robertson after their clubs went down. Liverpool have long been linked with a move for the creative left-winger and this could finally be when he becomes one of the Liverpool summer signings.

Talles Magno – Vasco da Gama

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have also targeted Talles Magno as a player who could become one of the future stars at Anfield. The Mirror, also point to Talles as one of the most promising players in Brazilian football, with characteristics similar to those of Liverpool player Roberto Firmino.

Magno is currently still playing for club de Regatas Vasco da Gama but, with the season almost finished, he could be on the move. The young talent has been described as the ‘next Neymar’ by Brazilian media and Jurgen Klopp would like to bring the 17-year old to Liverpool before his transfer value explodes. Unfortunately, Vasco da Gama are facing serious financial trouble and the club would be willing to let go of him if a substantial transfer fee is paid to acquire the Brazil youth international.

Milot Rashica – Werder Bremen

Recently, Agim Amedi, the president of the Kosovo Football Federation, has gone on record claiming that Liverpool are interested in signing Werder Bremen player Milot Rashica this summer. Rashica has been linked to Anfield in recent months which only confirms the rumours. However, Liverpool are not the only club showing interest in the Kosovo international. Aston Villa, Wolverhampton and West Ham United could also potentially be the next destination of the 23-year-old.

According to Agim Amedi, Milot Rashica is most interested in playing for either Liverpool or Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. The left-winger could possibly replace Divock Origi at Anfield who is likely to leave Liverpool in order to get more playing time on the pitch with Euro 2020 postponed to 2021. He hopes to be one of the 23 players selected by Roberto Martinez to represent the Belgium team next summer.
