TWISTING PHYSICS was really progressive last season and ran a nice race on his comeback when sixth at Newbury. With that run in the locker, a bold bid should be on the cards. I can see CRISTO going well though, who ran well when third at York when last seen and is interesting on stable/seasonal debut.

13.28 William Hill Oaks Trial Fillies’ Stakes (Listed)

This looks like a really competitive, small-field contest. I’m going to take a chance on PRIZELAND, a winner of her last two starts. Both wins have been achieved on the all-weather but there’s no reason why she can’t translate her form back on the grass, so she could be a major player with even more to come. The unbeaten ROMANTIC SYMPHONY must be included.

13.58 William Hill Lingfield Derby Trial Stakes (Listed)

I quite like the chances of MALTESE CROSS, who could easily be arriving here unbeaten in three, having gone very close on debut at Ascot before winning his next two outings. He looks sure to relish this step up in trip and his connections have been going well of late, so the hat-trick could well be on the cards. The unbeaten MAHO BAY is feared most given he’s bolted up on both starts to date and looks a class horse himself.

14.40 William Hill Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes (Group 3)

DASH OF AZURE has a good record over this distance and has proven she goes well fresh, so this might be the time to catch her. However, LA BRODEUSE is a fascinating runner on stable debut and might be able to make an impact. Of the remainder, COPACOBANA is another one to enter the mix in this difficult race to solve.

15.15 William Hill Each Way Extra Handicap

BACK IN BLACK is fancied to return to winning ways. He’s been a model of consistency in big-field handicaps and finished a good fourth in Newbury’s Spring Cup last time out. Off the same mark, he can take the drop down in class in his stride from his good slot in stall one.

15.50 William Hill Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap

MR WRITER caught the eye with a running-on fourth at Wolverhampton last time out and must be thereabouts with more to offer. ORACLE MISSION is stepping up in class on his return but was a good winner when last seen (form has been let down since) and is drawn well to attack.
