Lingfield Place 6 preview | 31st March

13.20 – It’s Time To Turn To talkSPORT Handicap – 1m

It’s about time EIGHT MILE got off the mark and the step up in trip should suit given how strongly he finished the race to take fifth here last time over 7f. He is drawn well in stall 3 and should be competitive, while EMPEROR OF THE SUN makes his handicap debut in a low-grade race and could show more here. LA TRAVISTA isn’t out of this race either with Luke Morris booked to ride.

Selections: EIGHT MILE, EMPIRE OF THE SUN, LA TRAVISTA

13.50 – talkSPORT Powered By Fans Handicap

GHOST LIGHTS has gradually improved with each start and ran a good race to finish fourth in a class 3 event here last time. This is a class 6, so he must have a chance on handicap debut. I wouldn’t rule out a nice performance from LASHES either, who showed some nice form in Ireland and could feature on stable debut.

Selections: GHOST LIGHTS, LASHES

14.25 – BetUK Over 40,000 Live Streamed Races Handicap – 6f

MY BOY JACK is really consistent on the all-weather backed up his Wolverhampton success with a fine second at Southwell last time. He is drawn well in stall 3 and must have leading claims again given his current mood. AUTUMN FLIGHT has seen his mark continue to fall whilst still running to a useful level of form and could get competitive under Josephine Gordon.

Selections: MY BOY BACK, AUTUMN FLIGHT

15.00 – Spreadex Sports Get 50 In Bonuses Maiden Stakes – 7f

SCEPTIC might be decent value against the odds-on favourite, who shaped with a lot of promise when fourth on debut at Newmarket and could translate that form to the all-weather with more to come this season. A lower draw might have been preferred but he is Andrew Balding’s only runner on the card and has a good chance.

Selections: SCEPTIC

15.35 – talkSPORT Download The App Fillies’ Handicap – 1m2f

CANTORA concluded last season with back-to-back wins and returns in a winnable race with William Buick booked to ride. She could only finish fourth on her all-weather debut but has improved enormously since and the hat-trick could well be on the cards.

Selections: CANTORA

16.05 – BetUK’s Acca Club 5 Free Bet Handicap – 1m4f

HOOVES LIKE JAGGER produced a creditable third at Wolverhampton last time and has now made the frame in four of his last five starts. He looks sure to be thereabouts. ANISOPTERA has course winning form and while her latest performance was a little below-form, she is a player based on her previous form.

Selections: HOOVES LIKE JAGGER, ANISOPTERA
