13.15 Ladbrokes ‘Big-Value You Can Bet On’ Handicap Hurdle

PUNCTUATION should be fitter after his comeback run at Doncaster and the form of his victory at Aintree in 2023 reads well. He should be competitive, as should the consistent STONER’S CHOICE. Meanwhile, the hat trick-seeking SAINT ANOPOLINO and recent Huntingdon third MALAITA are others to consider.

13.50 Ladbrokes Pendil Novices’ Chase (Grade 2)

ASHDALE BOB has won his last two starts in this sphere and was the best of these over hurdles with numerous placed efforts at the highest level. He has to concede weight to RUBAUD, but the Irish raider looks tailor-made for this course and a bold bid is expected. The latter is played as cover, though I’m fancying the former to potentially knock out plenty of units.

14.25 Ladbrokes Adonis Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 2) 

MONDO MAN raced far too keenly behind Lulamba last time out at Ascot on his hurdles debut but he shaped with considerable promise to finish second and the winner is above average himself. I’m confident this top-class four-year-old will outclass today’s field before having a good chance in next month’s Triumph Hurdle.

15.00 Ladbrokes Dovecote Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 2)

TRIPOLI FLYER is improving at a rate of knots having bolted up on his last two starts in this sphere, and with this race likely to be run at a good pace, the hat trick could be on the cards. I think he’s a serious player, while the likes of CELTIC DINO and unbeaten hurdler STARCROSSED LOVER merit a second look.

15.35 Ladbrokes Trophy Handicap Chase (Premier Handicap)

TAHMURAS performed very well when second on this card last year and this Grade 1 winning hurdler looks very well handicapped off a mark of 143. He’s open to a lot of improvement over this distance and has a much better chance than his odds suggest. Kauto Star runner-up HYLAND, Lucinda Russell’s long traveller CORRIGEEN ROCK and progressive KATATI DORI can also be included on the ticket.

16.10 Ladbrokes ‘Get Rewarded With Ladbucks’ Handicap Chase

BAD has still yet to win a race for the in-form Ben Pauling, but he’s knocked on the door several times now and the combination of today’s tiny weight and workable mark should see him go close.
