The Place 6 at Kempton provided a great start to the weekend for MLT and everyone involved in his Syndicate. Leg 1 saw a single selection progress thanks to non-runner (Awsaaf) changing to the favourite, Spirit Power. Things began to improve in leg 2 when both selections and an unnamed fav (Rock Bottom) placed, to give the Syndicate 3 lines going into leg 3.
MLT then coasted through legs 3 and 4 with 5 places. As favourites Sharp Operator (11/10) and Crown of Flowers (11/4) both failed to place, there were only 415 units left going into leg 5. Another upset then followed as Kentucky Kingdom (10/11) lost out to Spirit Warning, leaving only 117 units going in the last leg. MLT then resisted taking any of the Cash Out offer.
It turned out to be the correct decision as once again the favourite (Given Choice, 7/4) didn’t place. A cracking return of £2,030 and 11x stake for all Syndicate members certainly isn’t a bad way to end the week!

The return of our tennis pools at the Australian open saw one punter serve up €2,145 from just a €6 ticket! This player managed to navigate their way to leg 5 on just a single line, correctly predicting wins for Dimitrov, Edmund, Bautista Agut and Cilic. Leg 6 had all selections covered, so Tsongas 3-0 victory over Klizan in leg 5 would have relieved all nerves for this player.
