He won six Superbowls in his time at the Patriots before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, incredibly Tom Brady added to his Super Bowl wins by dismantling the Kansas City Chiefs in February’s showpiece giving him an incredible seventh Super Bowl victory, in what proved to be a record-breaking weekend for sports legends. The Buccaneers made the most of home advantage in the Super Bowl but, regardless, Brady’s accomplishment in landing a seventh career title has to be regarded as one of the greatest in the sport’s history. Tom Brady joined the New England Patriots in the 2000 NFL Draft. Incredibly, the player who would go on to be regarded as the greatest of all time by many was only picked in the sixth round of the draft, making him the 199th pick overall.
In 2002, Brady led the Patriots to their very first Super Bowl win, when they defeated the favourites, the St. Louis Rams, 20-17. He won his sixth Super Bowl in 2019, when the Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the lowest scoring game in Super Bowl history, 13-3. Then Tom Brady added his seventh, and arguable the most remarkable of his Super Bowl wins, in 2021 when he led the unfancies Tamba Bay Buccaneers to a crushing 31-9 victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
