GNOMON has been highly tried in two starts since scoring on debut and must be of serious interest on his first start over hurdles. He has the potential to rank a bit higher, so a clear round should see him hard to beat.

A chance is taken on CAN YOU HEAR ME, who ran his best race to date when second at Lingfield and appeals as the type to be winning soon. His stable is in good form and he’s down in class, so he’s fancied to pose a serious threat.

14.05 BeatWright Beat The Wright Way Handicap Chase

MASTERS LEGACY looked a bit rusty on his return at Ascot but he did shape nicely to finish third and this drop in grade off a career-low mark could well see the 10-year-old have a major say in the outcome. PLAN OF ATTACK looks the shadow of his former self but is another that is too well handicapped to be taking lightly, so he’s also included.

BRAGANZA BAY is largely inconsistent but did bolt up on his previous start over C&D off only a pound lower mark and could be set for a revival in form. THE JAM MAN isn’t the force of old but is more than capable on his day and could outrun his odds.

DANNY’S FRIEND should take quite a bit of beating in this event. He improved significantly from his chase debut when an easy winner over C&D two weeks ago and should prove capable of going in again in this very weak event.
