Goodwood Win 6 Preview | 2nd August

13.50 Coral Goodwood Handicap

Olly Murphy’s SUPER SUPERJACK finds himself 2lb lower than when he finished an unlucky second in this race two years ago, and Tom Marquand is booked to ride. He’s a huge player, as is his stablemate, TRONADOR.

He remains on the same mark as when he finished third in this race last year. Silvestre De Sousa gets down to the minimum weight. TEMPORIZE won this twelve months ago and should make a bold bid to defend his crown.

Tips: Super Superjack, Tronador, Temporize

14.25 Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes (Group 3)

AL MUSMAK has two wins and a second from three starts over this trip and was impressive when winning at Newmarket last time out. He is the first choice, ahead of KING’S GAMBLE, who finished fifth off top-weight in the Britannia at Royal Ascot. TASK FORCE is another to consider.

Tips: Alex Musmak, King’s Gamble, Task Force

15.00 Coral Golden Mile (Heritage Handicap)

HOLLOWAY BOY is burdened with top-weight, but he can compete off the same mark as when second at Sandown last time out. He had a few of these behind him and should make a bold effort.

ORBAAN bolted up in this race two years ago off this mark of 87 and must be respected, while URBAN SPRAWL looks nicely treated on the pick of his form and is next best.

Tips: Holloway Boy, Orbaan, Urban Sprawl

15.35 King George Qatar Stakes (Group 2)

BIG EVS won over C&D at this meeting last year and ended his campaign with Breeders’ Cup success. He performed very well when third in the King Charles last time out and has a leading chance.

ROGUE LIGHTNING will get a good pace to aim at, though, and should be well suited to this course. He’s one to be interested in at bigger odds.

Tips: Big Evs, Rogue Lightning

16.10 Regent Seven Seas Cruises Bentinck Conditions Stakes

MY PROSPERO has an absence to overcome, but he’s the class act in the field and is a course winner. He’s down in grade ahead of his return and should take all of the beating, being the clear highest-rated runner in the field.

CICERO’S GIFT has won four of his five starts and made a successful return at Sandown last time out. He is feared most, but I think the favourite wins!

Tips: My Prospero, Cicero’s Gift

16.45 Hawes & Curtis Nursery

Richard Hannon’s pair appeals most here. The form of THE ACTOR’s win at Newmarket has worked out extraordinarily well, given he had two subsequent winners in behind. He is down in class after finishing third in a Listed race last time out and should be thereabouts.

His stablemate, CAYMAN TAI, finished second in three starts prior to opening his account at Ffos Las. He is up in grade, but he’s done nothing wrong in all four starts and could go very well with Pat Dobbs in the saddle.

Tips: The Actor, Cayman Tai
