14.20 Star Sports We Believe In Bookmaking Novices’ Hurdle

CRACKERJACQUE has won two of his three starts over hurdles and was a very game winner at Sandown last time out. He’s back up in distance and is unbeaten in two starts on heavy ground, so even under a double penalty, another bold bid is firmly on the cards.

Tips: CRACKERJACQUE

14.50 Star Sports National Spirit Hurdle (Grade 2)

POTTERS CHARM is an established Grade 1 winner over hurdles and has improved with each start this season. He resumed winning ways at Windsor last time out and sets a very clear standard. BREWIN’UPASTORM isn’t getting any younger but has won this twice in his career and is certainly no back number.

Tips: POTTERS CHARM & BREWIN’UPASTORM

15.20 Barry Dennis Trophy Handicap Hurdle

BOLLIN THOU is absolutely thriving this season, winning his last four starts and was a gritty winner at Sandown when last seen.  He did have a hard race that day but he might not have finished improving, so he remains the one to beat. II VA DE SOI has form under these though and is dangerously well treated for his in-form stable, so he’s nominated as the back up.

Tips: BOLLIN THOU & II VA DE SOI

15.50 starsports.bet Handicap Hurdle

LOCAL DERBY got off the mark at Wincanton last month and a 4lb rise shouldn’t prevent a bold bid. He is marginally preferred to ATLANTIC POWER, though the latter comes into the race in good form. This C&D winner was an easy winner at Lingfield earlier this month and must be feared if in the same form, so he goes on the list.

Tips: LOCAL DERBY & ATLANTIC POWER

16.20 Star Sports Handicap Hurdle

C&D winner THE BOSS BEAR has made an excellent start to his career, winning five and finishing second in the other two and was far from disgraced in defeat at Fakenham last time out. He looks set to go well on handicap debut, while ROYAL WAY is another to consider off his reduced figure.

Tips: THE BOSS BEAR & ROYAL WAY

16.50 starsportsbet.co.uk Open Maiden NH Fiat Race

CHEAP SANDWICHES made a promising start to his career when second at Warwick on debut and should be able to build on that. MINELLA PREMIER is a notable newcomer though. He cost quite a large sum and could be anything, so he’s the second option in a tight event.

Tips: CHEAP SANDWICHES & MINELLA PREMIER
