Ffos Las Place 6 preview | 22nd November

12.35 – Phantom Prestige Car Hire Maiden Hurdle – 1m7f

Lump Sum landed a bumper over a year ago and then ran well in defeat when third at Hereford. However, ONEWAYWEST has hurdle experience on his side and Ben Pauling’s charge might be able to use that to his advantage here. He has finished runner-up in both starts and could go one better.

Tips: ONEWAYWEST

13.05 – Yellow Cabs Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m7f

FRANKIE FAULKNER has made the frame in all four starts over fences and was beaten just a short head into second under similar conditions in his penultimate start at Newton Abbot. He could be the angle, while HEY BUD was second over C&D last November off a 2Ib higher mark and could bounce back.

Tips: FRANKIE FAULKNER, HEY BUD

13.40 – Sinclair Group Maiden Hurdle – 2m4f

MINELLA BLUEWAY made the frame on his rules/hurdle debut at Chepstow earlier in the month and is likely to improve with that experience under his belt. Oak Creek is the biggest danger, but the former has plenty more to come, jumped well last time out, and is taken to emerge as the winner.

Tips: MINELLA BLUEWAY

14.15 – Owens Group Handicap Chase – 2m3f

KINGS KEEPER shaped promisingly in placing in both starts last winter prior to winning easily here in January. Kerry Lee’s charge has been competing in a pair of deeper races the last two times, so he is one to note on his chase debut at this lower level. The one to beat is GEORGES SAINT though, who is nicely treated on the pick of his French form and hails from a yard who can do no wrong at the moment.

Tips: KINGS KEEPER, GEORGES SAINT

14.50 – Carmarthenshire Horse Boxes At 3 As Leisure Handicap – 2m7f

MARIO DE PAIL has fared a lot better than the finishing positions have suggested in both starts this season and is now returning to hurdles off a much lower mark. His last win came off a 6Ib higher mark in this sphere, and he is sure to be thereabouts. BALLYMAGROARTY BOY ran several good races in defeat last season and wasn’t beaten far over C&D on his reappearance when third.

Tips: BALLYMAGROARTY BOY, MARIO DE PAIL

15.25 – Cally, Grant & Alex Lewis Handicap Chase – 2m3f

BOSTON JOE lacked conviction at most of his fences at Wincanton last time, but that didn’t stop him from winning by nearly 10 lengths, and he will be hard to beat in his follow-up bid if he jumps better. ROYAL MER finished second off a 7Ib higher mark back in March and has run a lot better than the recent form figures have indicated. He is a leading candidate.

Tips: BOSTON JOE, ROYAL MER
