Exeter Place 6 preview | 20th November

12.10 – Brigadier Rayner Novices’ Chase – 2m3f

MIGHT I jumped poorly on his chase debut last month but was still only beaten a length and should be able to make the most of this golden opportunity. BOURBALI has a lot to find with the former but can obviously be included as cover in case the unexpected happens.

Tips: MIGHT I, BOURBALI

12.40 – Devon Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m7f

RADDON TOP has a great record here that reads 111231P8. He was beaten just a short head off a 2Ib higher mark in this race last year, so he must have every chance of going one better. He is a confident choice to at least make the frame.

Tips: RADDON TOP

13.15 – Exeter Novices’ Hurdle – 2m

GIDLEIGH PARK created a striking impression when winning his bumper very easily and could turn out to be above-average. Harry Fry does extremely well with novice hurdlers, and this five-year-old is going to be difficult to beat with improvement on the cards.

Tips: GIDLEIGH PARK

13.50 – Haldon Forest Handicap Chase – 3m

CAPTAIN TOMMY is only 2Ib higher than when he scored at Worcester back in August. Despite being beaten a long way into third last time, he remains well handicapped on past form. MY GIRL KATIE would only need to reproduce her two efforts earlier this year to have a good chance.

Tips: CAPTAIN TOMMY, MY GIRL KATIE

14.25 – Hall Down Hill Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – 2m2f

KIT’S COTY was still travelling strongly on her hurdles debut before her departure. She should go well with a clear round, while ALFIE’S PRINCESS does set the standard based on her hurdles debut success at Chepstow and is the one to beat.

Tips: KIT’S COTY, ALFIE’S PRINCESS

15.00 – Exeter Mares’ Novices’ Chase (Listed) – 2m1f

LADY ADARE ran a good race when second to Knappers Hill in a Grade 2 last-time-out, and if she is able to replicate that performance in this race, she should go close. NURSE SUSAN has a long absence to overcome, but she was a close-up fourth in a Grade 2 at the Cheltenham Festival last year and could be ready to make an impact.

Tips: LADY ADARE, NURSE SUSAN
