Doncaster Win 6 Preview | 12th September
13.50 British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies’ Nursery
SILVER GHOST has done little wrong in making the frame in her last three starts and could be ready to strike. EARTHA could have easily been arriving here with three wins from three starts after two narrow misses, but she has more to come and could go well. TOOMUCHFORME can also be included.
Tips: Silver Ghost, Eartha, Toomuchforme
14.25 Weatherbys Scientific 300,000 2-Y-O Stakes
CABURN was impressive when winning the Super Sprint prior to a solid fifth-place finish in a Group 2 last time out despite not being best positioned. Back down in grade, he could be hard to beat. INTRUSIVELY opened his account in great style last time out, and his previous third in the Richmond Stakes is quality form. He’s the other one that I want on my ticket.
Tips: Caburn, Intrusively
15.00 Betfred May Hill Stakes (Fillies’ Group 2)
DESERT FLOWER has looked really good in winning both of her starts to date by a combination of more than 10 lengths. She is well worth a crack at this higher level and must be respected. ANSHODA is on an equal rating mind and won a Group 3 last time out, so she’s definitely one for the shortlist.
Tips: Desert Flower, Anshoda
15.35 Betfred Park Hill Fillies’ Stakes (Fillies’ & Mares’ Group 2)
An open-looking contest. However, NAKHEEL has been strong at the finish in each of her last three starts and should relish the step up in trip here. She earns the main vote ahead of the hat trick-seeking OXFORD COMMA, with NIGHT SPARKLE being another to consider.
Tips: Nakheel, Oxford Comma, Night Sparkle
16.10 Pertemps Network Handicap
Andrew Balding’s T’CHALLA remains ahead of the handicapper having beaten a 92-rated rival last time out at Newbury and should go well. I do respect the chances of FOX LEGACY, though, who bolted up at Salisbury last month and should have more to offer.
Tips: T’challa, Fox Legacy
16.40 Hilton Garden Inn Doncaster Racecourse Nursery
JORGE ALVARES caught the eye when a staying-on fourth of 20 in a deeper race at York last time out, and a reproduction of that performance should suffice here. THUNDER WONDER dominated his rivals at Thirsk last time out, though, and is feared most.
Tips: Jorge Alvares, Thunder Wonder
