We have a Pick 4 kicking off on Saturday with Swansea vs Tottenham and Dave Tindall has previewed the pool with a Syndicate available.

Swansea v Spurs

Swansea have won their last seven at home while only Juventus and Man City have beaten Spurs since November. So which form do we trust most?

The absence of Harry Kane through injury looks an obvious angle to play but the records show that Spurs cope admirably without him, winning five and drawing three of the last eight Premier League games he’s missed.

The Swans did a great job of thwarting Liverpool’s attacking prowess recently so I’m angling towards an Under 2.5 goals game even though BTTS is very common in Spurs away games.

Mauricio Pochettino is desperate for silverware so I’ll focus on narrow Spurs wins and a low-scoring draw.

Prediction: 1-1, 0-1, 0-2, 1-2

Huddersfield v Crystal Palace

This pair played each other twice in early season, Huddersfield winning 3-0 at Palace on opening day before the Eagles edged a League Cup tie 1-0, also at Selhurst Park.

Palace are struggling again after a run of five defeats and two losses in their last seven games but it’s noticeable that they’ve scored in their last seven road matches.

Huddersfield, like Palace, also have a relegation fight to occupy them but they have been competitive at home this season, losing just five of 15.

Roy Hodgson will surely look to keep this tight and only Burnley have scored less home goals than Huddersfield. It’s an Unders game for me, with either side capable of nicking it.

Prediction: 1-0, 0-0, 1-1, 0-1

Man Utd v Brighton

This would be a really tough game to call if Brighton were hosting as they’ve been impressive down on the south coast this season and that’s why they sit a healthy 11th spot in the table.

But with Old Trafford the venue, I expect United to grind out another home win.

The stats show that Jose Mourinho has won 14 of his 16 home FA Cup matches while Seagulls boss Chris Hughton has never even got to cheer a goal in four visits to the Red Devils.

A 2-0 Man Utd win looks the sweet spot given that they’ve scored exactly twice in four of their last six home games and I’ll play other United home wins either side. Mourinho may drive his own fans mad but he offers welcome reliability to Pick 4 backers in games like this.

Prediction: 1-0, 2-0, 3-0

Wigan v Southampton

Having conquered Manchester City in round five having previously taken the scalps of Bournemouth and West Ham, another Premier League outfit will hold no fears for Wigan.

The Latics, who sit second in League One, love this competition having won it in 2013 and reached the semis the following year and the door is open again with Saints struggling.

Mark Hughes will hope for some new manager ‘bounce’ and, to be fair, Saints had been decent on the road in recent weeks before losing 3-0 at Newcastle last time, the result which finally persuaded their owners to act.

Wigan keep lots of clean sheets at home and also like a 0-0 (three in last 10) so this looks another tight, Unders game although I’m leaning slightly towards the hosts.

Prediction: 1-0, 0-0, 1-1
