You have until 12.30 on the 13th August to register. You can tinker with your squad as little, or as much as you like before Hull and Leicester kick us off!

We have picked our provisional squad, take a look at our reasons:

Goalkeeper(s)

Petr Cech – No need for a long explanation here. A solid keeper in the league for many years now, and at one of the top sides in Arsenal. He will be our number 1.

Ben Foster – Not guaranteed to be the number one after last seasons injury woe’s, but you would expect him to force his way back in. Not top class, but a reliable keeper with a good penalty saving record at a good price.

Defence

Kyle Walker – One of the few English players to have a good game at the Euro’s, he can kick on this season in a strong Spurs defence. Wing backs are always a sensible ploy in fantasy football, as your opportunity of points for the occasional assist increase.

Cesar Azpilicueta – Another wing back choice – Had a solid if unspectacular season last year in a Chelsea side that clearly struggled. However, with Italian Antonio Conte at the helm, surely clean sheets are on the horizon.

Hector Bellerin – The young Spaniard had an excellent season for Arsenal last year. He is the established right back at the club now, and should have a big season ahead of him whipping balls into Arsenal’s forward line.

Jose Fonte – The Portuguese centre half was excellent again for Southampton last season, and is good value to be rotated into the backline on occasion. He also pops up with the odd set piece headed goal.

James Tarkowski – Destined for a long season on our bench, price dictates the Burnley centre half sneaks into the squad.

Midfield

Yannick Bolasie – A risky selection, and one certainly with his price tag in mind. Undoubtedly an exciting player to watch, hopefully this is the year he starts finding the net with more regularity.

Marko Arnautovic – Arguably Stoke’s most creative player last season, he appears to have settled in the Premier league now. Marko is perfectly capable of a sizeable goals tally, and weighs in with his fair share of assists, just go easy on the red cards please!

Mesut Ozil – A no brainer surely, he’s an assists machine. Just get your shooting boots on Mesut.

Anthony Martial – I’m not sure he would have made our team in the forwards line, but listed as a midfielder in this year’s edition he is just too good to turn down.

Darren Fletcher – A reliable and likeable presence in any team. Darren Fletcher would have the captain’s armband if it was not all about scoring points…As it is, the bench awaits with the occasional foray into the side if he hits a goal scoring vein of form.

Forwards

Shane Long – In the absence of Pelle, he will be Southampton’s main outlet this season. A Premier League regular now, and on the back of a new contract he will want to hit the ground running this season.

Jermaine Defoe – Another proven Premier League goal-scorer who you would imagine Sunderland will build their team around. He will need to be scoring regularly for them to avoid another relegation scrap.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic © – The self-proclaimed ‘God’ has arrived, and he’s going in as the focal point of the Colossus attack. His goals record across Europe speaks for itself, and we’re not worried about his age. Even if he fails, it’s sure to be eventful. Captain material.
