Brighton Place 6 preview | 7th October
14.15 JenningsBet In Hastings Apprentice Handicap
RORY ROCKET finished a very good second at Goodwood back in August prior to finishing third at the same venue early last month. His latest showing was a little disappointing, but the application of first-time cheekpieces and drop in grade should see him tough to beat. He also only found one too good when runner-up on his debut over C&D in September of last year.
Tips: RORY ROCKET

A chance is taken on LADY IN HAVANA, who was in good form this summer with back-to-back runner-up efforts, including over C&D by a neck in July. She’s not been at her best the last couple of times but the return to this venue could well spark a revival. Four-time course winner VOODOO BAY is another to consider off a handy figure.
Tips: LADY IN HAVANA & VOODOO BAY
15.15 JenningsBet In Portsmouth EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes
A TASTE OF GLORY has shown enough on both starts to date to suggest he is capable of winning a race of this nature. He’s down in grade and nothing Andrew Balding sends to this venue is worth a second look. In a moderate event, with only Harry Eustace’s charge to worry about, Jason Watson’s mount should prove tough to beat.
Tips: A TASTE OF GLORY
15.45 JenningsBet In Basingstoke Handicap
It’s hard to overlook THE DARK BARON having produced a career-best performance when scoring at Bath in mid-September. He won that race by an easy three lengths, and being totally unexposed over this distance, this son of Dark Angel is fancied to record back-to-back wins under Laura Coughlan. She can use her 3lb claim to good effect.
Tips: THE DARK BARON
16.15 JenningsBet In Bracknell Handicap
This looks very competitive but BIRTHDAY ANGEL has been running consistently in defeat of late and should be winning soon. His last couple of starts on the all-weather have been respectable, so back on the grass off a 2lb lower mark, this long-standing maiden can go close to recording a breakthrough success.
Tips: BIRTHDAY ANGEL
16.45 JenningsBet In Andover Handicap
DINAH MYTE returned as a very dominant winner at Ffos Las nine days ago and she has to be taken seriously under her penalty. The conditions will be a lot different this time, but she’s in top form and probably has more to offer. Her biggest danger is likely to be Gone Rogue, who was beaten just a short-head here eight days ago.
Tips: DINAH MYTE
