Bangor Place 6 Preview | 4th July
17.56 Summer Social Night Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle
HAPPY INDEX has yet to run a bad race for Olly Murphy, recording three wins and four placed efforts from seven starts. She came within whiskers of scoring at Perth last time out despite a few errors on the way and is fancied to get the better of Lune De La Mar, who tends to keep finding one too good.
Tips: HAPPY INDEX
18.30 Dynamic Wrexham Mares’ Maiden Hurdle
This is a good opportunity for HERJA to open her account. She has made the frame on all four starts over hurdles and chased home a subsequent winner at this course last month. In spite of facing a couple of interesting opponents, Brian Hughes’ mount looks the one to beat.
Tips: HERJA
19.05 Overton Novices’ Handicap Hurdle
BARRANCO won back-to-back races in May and looked unfortunate not to complete a hat trick of wins when third at this course last month (travelled best). Back over hurdles off a lower mark, the eight-year-old has every chance of registering another success for this stable.
Tips: BARRANCO
19.40 Wrexfest Handicap Hurdle
DONNIE AZOFF got back to winning ways when successful on his reappearance on his penultimate start and finished an eye-catching third in a much stronger race at Market Rasen last time out. Dropping down in class off only a pound higher mark, I think he’s a big player.
Tips: DONNIE AZOFF
20.15 Bangor-On-Dee Handicap Hurdle
LAND GIRL’S LUCK stayed on strongly over C&D last time out to make it two wins in succession and the handicapper has only raised her mark 5lbs. She’s clearly at the top of her game at the moment, so it is difficult to see her beaten whilst in such a rich vein of form.
Tips: LAND GIRL’S LUCK
20.50 Horseradish Catering & Events Open NH Flat Race
DONALD JUMP was a serious eye-catcher when third on debut over C&D, and with plenty of improvement to come, he could be the answer to the finale. His experience will count for plenty, with Garde My Guinness feared most.
Tips: DONALD JUMP
