Aintree Win 6 Preview | 8th November

12.20 William Hill Racing Winnings Boost EBF ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle

None of the runners can be ruled out in the opener so I’ll have multiple runners on the ticket for this. PERTEMPS has shaped with promise on both bumper starts to finish third and could be set to go well on hurdles debut. Newcomers MOSSY FEN COOLIO and ON DEADLY GROUND are others to note.

Tips: PERTEMPS, MOSSY FEN COOLIO & ON DEADLY GROUND

12.55 Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle

IDEM looks decent value in the second race on the card. In receipt of weight from all, the seven-year-old is only 4lb higher than when scoring at Kelso last December. He ran a solid race when second on his return at Hexham and that should have put him spot on for this assignment. He also finished a close-up fourth in one of these races at Musselburgh in February off this mark. I’ll also cover CHASING FIRE.

Tips: IDEM & CHASING FIRE

13.30 William Hill Best Odds Guaranteed Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase

The best bet of the day is ANDY AMO for the Rebecca Curtis team. The six-year-old didn’t really respect hurdles but he still managed to win twice and has really improved since stepping to three miles. He was unlucky to be collared late on in a Listed event at Fairyhouse last time out but the winner has gone in again and he looks well handicapped off a mark of 122.

Tips: ANDY AMO

14.05 Introducing William Hill Half A Mill Handicap Chase

This looks really competitive but MAMBONUMBERFIVE was a Grade 2 winner over hurdles back in February and wasn’t disgraced when seventh at the highest level at Aintree when last seen. He has the scope to make a stampede of a chaser and must enter calculations off a mark of 128. Ben Pauling has made a fantastic start to the season as well. NETYWELL is feared most.

Tips: MAMBONUMBERFIVE & NETYWELL

14.40 William Hill Grand Sefton Handicap Chase

In the Grand Sefton, I’m drawn to the claims of JET PLANE who has the right sort of profile to make a significant impact. I don’t seem to have much luck with Skelton tips but this nine-year-old has the experience over these fences courtesy of his second in last season’s Foxhunters’. Really solid place claims at least off the same mark. EXCELLO is interesting on his return, while the in-form MAHONS GLORY could surprise a few.

Tips: JET PLANE, EXCELLO & MAHONS GLORY

15.15 William Hill Extra Place Races Daily Handicap

Off a mark of 120 for his handicap debut, surely DON’T MIND IF I DO is a better horse than what the assessor has given him. Alan King’s lightly-raced five-year-old can easily be excused for his odds-on defeat at Wincanton when last seen as the ground was a bog and would have blunted his speed. He had previously bolted up at Wincanton and ran well behind Castle Ivers on hurdles debut.

Tips: DON’T MIND IF I DO
