14.00 Roxyfet Sports Lounge For Private Hire Handicap Hurdle

PARIKARMA earns the vote in the opener. She appreciated being ridden positively last time out when winning by 11 lengths at Stratford, and even though this race is tougher, as well as experimenting a longer trip, a soft lead could see her prove hard to pass. To ensure we get through the first race, I’ll cover her with the other two.

14.30 Fairlight Studios Mares’ Maiden Hurdle

TRALEE GIRL won three times on the Flat, and although she’s been a little disappointing on her last two outings in this sphere, this is a fantastic opportunity for her to win over hurdles. The only big danger is You Be Lucky Jean, but the Skelton’s continue in good form, so the former is handed the vote.

15.00 MW Civils & Groundworks Handicap Chase

I quite like the look of UNCLE AL. He has a tendency of making mistakes but is only a pound above his last winning mark and this isn’t the strongest race in the world. With a clear round, the seven-year-old must enter calculations.

15.30 Bill & Teresa Florentines 50th Anniversary Handicap Chase

MR MCWHINNY made it two wins from his last three starts with an easy victory at Newton Abbot and has escaped a penalty. He’s clearly enjoying his time with his stable and is strongly fancied to add another success at the expense of Achille Des Rocs, who won at Cartmel two weeks ago.

16.00 Paxtons No1 CaseIH Dealer Handicap Hurdle

AIMERIC was undoubtedly the best of these on the Flat and ran his best race over hurdles to date when second over C&D last time out. He looks very well handicapped off a mark of 100, so even though William Yeats will be tough to beat, Jennie Candlish’s charge can make him work for it.

16.30 Sedgefield Racecourse For Outdoor Events Novices’ Limited Handicap Hurdle

LITTLETOWN LAD ought to prove difficult to beat. He was a good winner over C&D last time out, winning comfortably despite stumbling after the final hurdle. Even off a 5lb higher mark, the six-year-old looks capable of following up in this weak event. Excellent claims.
