DALAMARA has course-winning form and registered a second career success when scoring at Musselburgh. I see no reason why the return to this longer distance won’t suit given how strong she was at the finish. A lot of these are out of form, so she looks capable of at least making the frame.

It’s really difficult to oppose YORDAN. He shaped really well when second on debut before going one better at Southwell. Even under a penalty, it’s hard to see him not going close. He earns the vote, with the experienced Brash next best.

15.15 High Gosforth Park Golf Club Handicap

My big fancy on the card is ORNE. He’s not won since taking a Group 3 event as a juvenile but has run well in three good-quality handicaps on his last three starts, including when sixth of 18 at York last time out and is into this grade for the first time in his career. Off a career-low mark, the five-year-old is strongly fancied to make his presence felt.

Not the easiest race to solve, so the marginal vote goes to PROFITABILITY. She has left plenty to work on after three reasonable outings and is dropped significantly in class. Her latest third at Hamilton was decent and even a reproduction of that performance ought to see her competitive.

I really like the claims of FLYING FLETCHER. He has a good record on the all-weather, especially here, and his last C&D win came off a 5lb higher mark. He has plenty of other good efforts to his name off higher figures, so there’s plenty to like about his chances and I think he will come out on top.
