Salisbury Place 6 Preview | 13th August

17.30 Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai Apprentice Handicap

AMATHUS won at this course last time out (survived stewards), so although the return to a mile asks a question, the nine-year-old must be feared if in the same form. However, SYDNEY ROCK has finished second in four of her seven starts, including behind some useful types, and must go close on the back of a good second at Chepstow. She should be able to capitalise off this mark.

Tips: AMATHUS & SYDNEY ROCK

18.04 Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai British EBF Fillies’ Restricted Novice Stakes

The Marco Botti-trained FLOODING shaped very nicely when second at Newmarket last month and is expected to do even better this time. She must have every chance of going one better, so she’s marginally preferred to Tiora Time, the main danger.

Tips: FLOODING

18.34 Colin Hinton & Mitch Hinton Novice Stakes

A disappointing turnout with only two runners set to battle. SERENETTA confirmed the promise of her debut third when easily scoring at Kempton when last seen and is difficult to oppose. REFORMATION could be anything though and wouldn’t at all be a surprise winner.

Tips: SERENETTA & REFORMATION

19.04 Colin Hinton & Mitch Hinton Novice Stakes

CLARITY, who has shaped with promise on both starts so far, is open to improvement as she step up in distance. I think she can have a big say in the outcome but SIENA STORM ran a big race when fourth on debut at Goodwood and should be able to take a significant step forward from that effort. She is probably the one to beat.

Tips: CLARITY & SIENA STORM

19.34 British EBF Premier Fillies’ Handicap

This is competitive. However, GREEN SKY has yet to taste defeat for this stable, winning all three of her outings, and the four-timer could well be on the cards in spite of the step up in grade. The hat-trick seeking COUNTER INTUITIVE is another one to consider having made a successful handicap debut at Newmarket when last seen.

Tips: GREEN SKY & COUNTER INTUITIVE

20.04 Venture Security Handicap

SUDBURY HILL was a good winner over C&D last time out, so despite this being more competitive, he’s respected. SUPPLICATE is chasing a fourth consecutive win though. It’s not ideal only being given two weeks notice from her success at Nottingham but she’s on an upward curve and should make a bold bid.

Tips: SUDBURY HILL & SUPPLICATE
