SHADY BAY remains 6lb above her last winning mark but she’s down in grade and ran very well when third here last August. It might be a tough task to defy top-weight but she’s entitled to be competitive. MYTHOLOGICAL STAR has improved with each start though and is the one to beat with so much more to come.

This has a really competitive feel to it with three in with a serious chance. HARRY KNOWS is a tentative vote on the back of a good win over C&D a fortnight ago and should go well, though KEEP KICKING ON also won over C&D when last seen and is another to take seriously, so both go on the ticket.

18.45 Join Fitzdares For A Personal Service EBF Restricted Novice Stakes

This should be a straight-up battle between REAL BULLET and WATEERA, and the marginal vote goes to the latter. She returned as a beaten favourite when third at Newbury last time out but went very close and could be tough to pass if allowed a soft lead.

19.15 Fitzdares Sprint Series Final Handicap

TREFOR looks the one to side with. He came within a neck of winning this race twelve months ago when second and must have every chance of going one better off a 3lb lower mark. He’s 2lb lower than when successful at York in this month of last year and is fancied to land the spoils.

19.45 Fitzdares Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes

PRINCESS HONEY BEE won’t get many better opportunities to get off the mark. She’s placed in four of her five outings, including when second the last two times and ought to be going close with all of her experience to draw upon under Billy Loughnane.

MY OLD MATE was unfortunate not to score here on his penultimate start before going one better here six weeks ago. He’s only been raised 5lb, so there’s no reason why he can’t make a bold bid to potentially record back-to-back wins.
