Sandown Place 6 Preview | 6th August

17.00 Corinthian Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap

IMPIERIOUS has shaped very nicely on all three starts to date, making the frame in each of them, and could be well treated off an opening mark of 82. He is one to consider, along with EPICTETUS, who placed on his last couple of starts and is thrown in here on past exploits.

Tips: IMPIERIOUS & EPICTETUS

17.38 British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes

CATCHING DREAMS ran a race full of promise when a close-up second on debut at Lingfield, where he was doing his best work at the finish. I think he’s going to take the world of beating with that run under his belt and distinct improvement to come.

Tips: CATCHING DREAMS

18.13 Chasemore Farm EBF Maiden Stakes

FIRST LAW and FLIGHT TRACKER seem the two to focus on in this event. The former represents Charlie Appleby and is extremely well-bred, so he’s the first choice. However, the other debutant hails from Ralph Beckett and is the likely danger.

Tips: FIRST LAW & FLIGHT TRACKER

18.48 Hwfa Williams – Founder Of Sandown Park Handicap

None of the trio can be ruled out. INTERSTATE went very close at Southwell and Doncaster (beaten a neck each time) and is the one to beat, but ELAN D’OR and EDWIN HUBBLE have more experience and wouldn’t be surprise winners.

Tips: INTERSTATE, ELAN D’OR & EDWIN HUBBLE

19.23 BetMGM 80s Day Saturday 29 August Handicap

Plenty to consider in this contest. ASCENDING STAR has yet to finish out of the places and shaped nicely on handicap debut at Sandown last time out. He is expected to be competitive, while Nottingham scorer THURSDAY GIRL is another with the form to play a leading role.

Tips: ASCENDING STAR & THURSDAY GIRL

19.58 Community Fund For Elmbridge Handicap

BUBBLES WONKY has placed on all of his last three outings and should again be in the mix off an unchanged mark. GREAT BLASKET powered to victory at Nottingham seven days ago and has C&D winning form, so he’s a key player.

Tips: BUBBLES WONKY & GREAT BLASKET
