13.50 Coral Rewards Shaker Handicap

INFRAAD has a win and three placed efforts to his name from four starts and looked unlucky not to win on handicap debut at Chester last time out when third. Off the same mark, compensation could await William Haggas’s charge. Handicap debutant HATTEEN bolted up at Doncaster when last seen and is another to consider for the thriving Andrew Balding team.

14.25 British Stallion Studs EBF Alice Keppel Fillies’ Conditions Stakes

WILD BLOSSOM underperformed when only tenth at Royal Ascot last time out and is worth a second chance based on her impressive debut success at Carlisle. HIDDEN GIFT ran a huge race when fifth in the Albany at the Royal fixture and is another to note as she steps down in grade. Wathnan could hold the key to this event.

15.00 Rolls-Royce Oak Tree Stakes (Fillies’ And Mares’ Group 3)

FLORA OF BERMUDA has plenty of form at the highest level (placed several times) and resumed winning ways with a gutsy victory at York last time out. The trip is an unknown, and it won’t be easy carrying a penalty, but she’s the class act and should go well. SAYIDAH DARIYAN is another with form in Group 1 company and should be able to make an impact under Ryan Moore.

15.35 Veuve Clicquot Molecomb Stakes (Group 3)

ADONIUS has won all three outings to date and is well worth a crack at this higher level, so he’s much respected. RULER’S PRIDE is better than he shown at Royal Ascot and is worth another chance, while PERSHAADA has winning form over C&D and shaped nicely when fourth in the Queen’s Mary last time out. I can see her having a big say in the matter.

16.10 Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes (Group 1)

It’s 2-0 BOW ECHO over GSTAAD but there shouldn’t be a lot between them again here and it’s hard to say which one will emerge as the winner. Both are top-class and should be able to give us another great race. OPERA BALLO did too much too soon last time out but is another capable of being in the shake-up so he is coveted to ensure we get through this race if we get this far on the jackpot!

17.00 Coral Charlton Handicap

I do quite like the claims of LIPSINK, who won three on the bounce last October and warmed up for this with a good second at Sandown on his return. The winner has gone in again since, including here on day one, so the form is solid and this nine-year-old must be feared off an unchanged mark.
