Just like the first race, this one is hard to predict, but the likes of TAKAAFUL, NEXT OF KIN and LADY OF HAY all represent excellent connections and are very well-bred. I’ll be surprised if at least one of these can’t have a major say in the outcome.

16.10 Apple Print & Creative Rose Bowl Stakes (Listed)

An excellent turnout for this Listed event, with the vote going to NABATI. I was really impressed with the way he went about his business when justifying cramped odds on debut at Yarmouth. I think he could turn out to be a serious weapon for his powerful team and is fancied to keep his unbeaten record intact.

16.45 BetVictor Handicap (Str)

ARETI is still in search of a first win but has knocked on the door on a few occasions and the presence of William Buick could help her find improvement. LIGHTNING GLORY has shown steady progress and should also go well on the back of a good second on handicap bow.

17.20 Uhy Ross Brooke Fillies’ Handicap

KOALA ROSE has placed on all three starts to date and came so close to scoring at Goodwood last time out. An opening mark of 78 on handicap debut seems lenient, so she should be competitive. The hat-trick seeking GREEN SKY is the other one to consider.

17.55 Crossland Employment Solicitors Handicap

TURTY TREE had plenty up his sleeve when winning at Sandown last time out, and despite the form not working out well, I think he remains the one to beat. DEVIL’S PEAK wasn’t disgraced at that same venue last time out and could have a say in the matter.
