Pontefract Place 6 Preview | 21st June
13.35 Pontefract Races Autism In Racing EBF Novice Stakes
CLASH OF HEARTS should be able to open his account. He has shaped promisingly on both outings to date, placing at York and Beverley, and is dropped in grade. With more to come, I will be shocked if he doesn’t prove hard to beat.
Tips: CLASH OF HEARTS
14.05 Anna Woolley Memorial Handicap
ISHE WORTH AGAMBLE hasn’t won since July last year but he’s been unlucky on a few occasions since and his latest third was another solid effort. It would come as a surprise if this five-year-old can’t have a say in the outcome.
Tips: ISHE WORTH AGAMBLE
14.35 Ponte Premiership Points Mean Prizes Handicap
LETHAL NYMPH likes it here and is back on the same mark as when last successful on the grass. He has plenty of wind and placed efforts off higher marks, including twice runner-up off a 2lb stiffer figure, so he’s very much one to note.
Tips: LETHAL NYMPH
15.05 Pontefract Castle Fillies’ Stakes
REVOIR is fancied to land the feature race. She went close in Listed and Group events last season and ran a cracker at Haydock on her reappearance when second. With that run under her belt, she can come out on top returning to this longer distance.
Tips: REVOIR
15.35 Moor Top Farm Shop Hemsworth Pontefract Cup Handicap
SECRET FORCE has run really well on both starts for this stable and finished a good third in a stronger event at York last time out. He’s been left on the same mark, so if he can prove his stamina over this trip, then he should go well.
Tips: SECRET FORCE
16.05 Sunpak Potatoes Handicap
ROCK OPERA ended a long-losing sequence when winning over C&D 19 days ago, and even off this 5lb higher mark, the six-year-old looks well handicapped on past form. He can secure back-to-back wins.
Tips: ROCK OPERA
