Royal Ascot 2026: Favourites BOOM or BUST Days 3, 4 & 5!

Royal Ascot 2026: Favourites BOOM or BUST (Part 2 – Day 3, 4 & 5)

Scandinavia (Gold Cup)

SCANDINAVIA has undoubtedly progressed as a stayer and has now won his last five outings. He is sure to be ready to run another huge race and could well land the spoils. However, he’s never been this far in his life and he’s far from guaranteed to stay the distance given it’s much longer than two miles.

He’s also going to be against the likes of Rahiebb, Sweet William and potentially Trawlerman, so he does seem a little short in the market. If he wins then fair enough but I wouldn’t be piling in on him given the level of competition he will face entering the unknown regarding the trip. BUST.

Venetian Sun (Commonwealth Cup)

Karl Burke may well have the winner of the Commonwealth Cup in the shape of VENETIAN SUN, who impressed when scoring at Haydock last time out when back over her optimum trip, making it five wins from just seven career starts.

She is unbeaten over this distance, which includes two Group 2 wins and a Group 1 and additionally has C&D winning form. All in all, she ticks so many boxes and I would go as far to say that she is the best bet of the meeting. I think she has a fantastic chance. BOOM.

Precise (Coronation Stakes)

It’s difficult to oppose PRECISE in the Coronation for Ballydoyle. It’s surprising Aidan O’Brien hasn’t won this race since 2017 but this filly is surely going to prove hard to beat.

She already has three Group 1 wins to her name and took a major step forward from her comeback seventh in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket when taking the Irish equivalent at the Curragh.

She comfortably beat True Love and is strongly fancied to register her fourth win at the highest level. Fantastic claims. BOOM.

Joliestar (QE II Jubilee Stakes)

Australian raider JOLIESTAR heads the betting for this red-hot renewal of the Jubilee and could well be up to the task ahead.

However, there’s some strong competition, including Satono Reve, who was last seen chasing home Ka Ying Rising and finished a close second in this race last year.

That being said, I’m hopeful the former will make the trip worthwhile given she’s already succeeded in five Group 1 events and this has been the plan. BOOM.
