Nottingham Place 6 Preview | 8th April
13.17 Ladies Day 9th May ‘Confined’ Novice Stakes
INFRAAD shaped full of promise when second on debut at Doncaster in October and there should be more to come this season. He is fancied to have a big say in the matter, though don’t rule out TRIPOLI FLYER. He stayed on well from an impossible position to finish eighth in the County Hurdle and is interesting back on the Flat.
Tips: INFRAAD & TRIPOLI FLYER
13.47 Ladies Day 9th May ‘Confined’ Novice Stakes
Charlie Appleby does very well with newcomers, so any market support for OLYMPIC CHARTER should be noted. Don’t be surprised to see him competitive first-time-out, with the same applied to Andrew Balding’s AUSTRALIA DAY. He’s also very well bred and represents a stable that can ready one. Both appeal the most to me on paper.
Tips: OLYMPIC CHARTER & AUSTRALIA DAY
14.22 Flat Is Back Restricted Novice Stakes
Karl Burke has an outstanding record with his two-year-old’s, so FINAL APPEAL must come under consideration. GREEK STREET makes plenty of appeal based on his pedigree and could be the other one to get involved. Two newcomers to monitor going forward as well.
Tips: FINAL APPEAL & GREEK STREET
14.57 Four Legged Friend 26th April Handicap
GLORY FIGHTER has C&D winning form and should appreciate the drop in grade back on the turf. The 10-year-old isn’t the force of old but should be thereabouts. ALBEGONE also has strong form over track and trip and is 5lb below his last winning mark, so he could make a serious impact with conditions set to be in his favour.
Tips: GLORY FIGHTER & ALBEGONE
15.32 Family Funday 31st May Handicap
This is a difficult race to solve but GLENNA has left the impression after three starts that she could be ready to go close on handicap debut. I liked her penultimate effort at Windsor when fourth. AL’S RIVER has steadily improved run-by-run and is well treated off a mark of 68, so he also enters the mix.
Tips: GLENNA & AL’S RIVER
16.07 9 Pound Racedays At Nottingham Racecourse Handicap
REVICH looked unlucky not to score at Wolverhampton last time out off his reduced mark when fourth and must have outstanding claims back on the grass. He’s so well handled on past form and this is a really thin contest, so he’s strongly considered. POWERFUL RESPONSE also has form off higher marks and should go well after a fine fourth at Doncaster last month.
Tips: REVICH & POWERFUL RESPONSE
