13.10 Ladbrokes ‘New Horse Racing Bet Builder’ Handicap

BOURBALI’s losing sequence is mounting up but he has stacks of course form and has placed in five of his last six starts. His last two wins have come off higher marks and he’s eased in grade after a good second at Taunton. I can see him making a serious impact, while GRENADIER JED went close at Chepstow last time and is another to consider.

13.45 Ladbrokes Adonis Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 2)

The Grade 2 Adonis Hurdle could see PRECIOUS MAN hard to beat. He was left clear to score over C&D last month and is fancied to reverse previous Cheltenham form with One Horse Town with more to come. LA LUNA ARTISTA is better than what she showed when fifth at Cheltenham and should be able to bridge the gap of One Horse Town.

14.25 Ladbrokes Pendil Novices’ Chase (Grade 2)

JAX JUNIOR might be able to dominate the Pendil Novices’ Chase. Lucy Wadham’s charge made it two wins from four starts over fences when winning at Sandown last time out and has a good overall record around this distance, so he’s the obvious choice and the rightful market leader. Jasmine Bliss can follow him home.

15.00 Ladbrokes Dovecote Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 2)

Plenty to consider in the Dovecote, including DESERTMORE NEWS. He was very impressive on hurdles debut at Southwell, and while he is light on experience, connections clearly think a lot of him to consider running in this grade so soon in his career. MATIWO jumped well when winning last time out and can also be thereabouts along with the unbeaten Mustang Du Breuil and Klub De Reve.

15.35 Ladbrokes Trophy Handicap Chase (Premier Handicap)

I like the claims of two Skelton runners in this hot event. Top weight BOOMBAWN has never run over this distance but he has plenty of class and finished a staying on third in the Silviniaco Conti here last month. If the ground isn’t too soft, he could go well. HOE JOLY SMOKE and Grade 2 course winner SOUL ICON are others to note.

16.05 Join Ladbrokes Bet 5 Get 30′ Handicap Chase

SHAKEYATAILFEATHER was an impressive winner at Kelso on her return, and although she’s not matched that form in three subsequent starts, I can see her making more of an impact this time. C&D winner CALIFET EN VOL will be happier back at this venue and must be well treated off this mark, so Nicky Henderson’s participant must be considered.
