WELSH CHARGER likes it here, winning at this fixture for the last two seasons, including in this event twelve months ago off only a 1lb lower mark. He’s run well on both starts this term and another bold bid should be on the cards. 2024 winner AFADIL has become dangerously well treated though and is feared most.

INSURRECTION won impressively at this meeting last season and returned to form with a positive third over C&D on New Year’s Day. He’s a player once more with Freddie Keighley taking off a handy 7lb. TRAPRAIN LAW finished third in this race last year off a 3lb higher mark, so he’s respected after winning at Wetherby five weeks ago.

RAVENSCRAIG CASTLE ran a solid race when third in a stronger event over C&D last time out and must be considered off an unchanged figure. AS FAST AS WIND is only 4lb above his last winning mark and should be suited to being back over the minimum distance.
