The opener could see SCENARIO take a hand in the finish. She has gone close the last two times including when third here three weeks ago and she shaped as though she would appreciate a longer distance. If that does prove to be the case, I can see her being in the mix once more.

Tips: SCENARIO

TABASKO has shown consistent form on all three  novice events and her latest fourth at Newbury was solid. This presents a drop in grade and she looks surely well treated off a figure of 73. A lot of her rivals hold leading claims but she just about shades the verdict.

COOL DOC BOY produced a promising first effort when runner-up at Kempton and interestingly turned out quickly after just five starts. If this doesn’t come too soon, then expect her to be hard to beat.

HOT TOPIC has shown steady progression and ran her best race to date when third at Bath last month.

Given this is her first assignment on the all-weather, and the step up in trip likely to bring about improvement, Harry Davies’s mount should be competitive in this event.

The answer to this event could be WAY TO DUBAI, who has the back-class to prove hard to beat in this grade.

He went extremely close to ending a losing sequence when a neck-second at Lingfield last time out and must be of serious interest with his sights lowered off an unchanged mark.

He’s so well handicapped on past form, so this is a good opportunity for the six-year-old to go one place better.

ROCK IGUANA turned in a disappointing effort at Salisbury last time out on handicap debut but must surely be better than that based on the previous form he displayed.

With more to come back on this surface, I see no reason why this son of Wootton Bassett can’t run well. Another runner to consider is THE DRAGON KING, who landed Newbury’s valuable auction event in October of last year.

Tips: ROCK IGUANA & THE DRAGON KING
