Chepstow Place 6 Preview | 11th October

DODGING THE BULLET has shaped with promise on all three all-weather starts, finishing strongly each time having been set with a lot to do and could be a big player on hurdles debut with fitness assured. Rebecca Curtis does well at this course and fellow hurdle newcomer BOUQUET DE PARIS is of interest as well.

Tips: DODGING THE BULLET & BOUQUET DE PARIS

Top-weight ALL THE GLORY makes the most appeal on her chase debut. She was a very good winner of a Listed event at Newbury on her return last year. She is 3lb lower than when third on the Scottish County Hurdle back in February, and with her lights lowered, Jonjo O’Neill’s charge could be set to play a huge part in the finish.

Tips: ALL THE GLORY

ILE DE JERSEY could hardly be in better form and made it three wins from her last five starts when winning easily at Warwick 18 days ago. A 5lb rise for that dominant success hardly seems beyond her, so she’s fancied to go well under Nico de Boinville. PULL AGAIN GREEN only found one too good in his hat-trick at Bangor last month and must be respected.

Tips: ILE DE JERSEY & PULL AGAIN GREEN

MOON CHIME boasts a fine record in this sphere which reads four wins from nine starts and ran an eye-catching race in the Summer Hurdle when last seen over timber. He was just getting going when he made a bad mistake at the last hurdle but still rallied late on, and with fitness assured following row runs on the flat, I think the seven-year-old has excellent claims stepping up in distance.

Tips: MOON CHIME

This looks wide-open but STATIC has some decent form in the book (runner-up in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham) and was a good seventh at the Cheltenham Festival on stable debut. He could outrun his odds, with the same applied to TORRENT, who is closely matched with him. Of the others, AVIEMORE enters the reckoning given he’s dropped considerably in grade.

Tips: STATIC, TORRENT & AVIEMORE

16.35 Good Intents Marquee Hire Handicap Chase

LIGHTNING FLASH won in good style at Perth when last seen and is now switched to fences with a very good chance. The five-year-old has plenty more to come and must be well handicapped off a mark of 106 with his stable in good form. If he jumps well, I see no reason why he cannot make a bold bid.

Tips: LIGHTNING FLASH
