QUEENSWORTHY was still travelling well when she tumbled at the third last flight last time out and probably would have won. She’s been given plenty of time to get over that fall, so this is a good opportunity for her to make it three wins from four starts. Intosomethinggood can follow her home.

14.30 Archway Homes Malpas Handicap Hurdle

ZAMOND went very close to winning at Cartmel two weeks ago and should be better suited to this longer trip judged on how strongly he finished his race. Having won and placed off much higher marks in the past, I think he’s the pick of Donald McCain’s trio and is reunited with Brian Hughes.

15.05 Breeze Capital Handicap Chase

Magistrato has obvious claims on the back of his dominant win at Stratford, but he might not get such an easy lead with NORTHERN BOUND in the field. Ben Pauling’s charge is a C&D winner and has made a positive start to the year. I think he’s the one to side with under Callum Pritchard.

15.40 Wrexham Lager Handicap Chase

None of the six can be ruled out but I’ll chance PRESENTANDCOUNTING, who took advantage of his reduced mark when successful at Uttoxeter last time out and could go in again back up in trip. He remains really well treated on past form, so he’s handed the vote.

16.10 Genesis Wealth Management Novices’ Limited Handicap Hurdle

The hat-trick seeking MONTICELLO has proved a revelation since switched to handicaps, winning both starts and although he’s 8lb higher for the latest of those, I still think there is room for improvement. While the iron is hot, he can bring up another success.

16.45 Paul Ferguson Jumpers To Follow Handicap Hurdle

Most of these have valid claims, including IMPERIAL MERLIN, who travelled really well at Uttoxeter last time out en route to finishing second. He’s been left on the same mark, and James Owen takes the ride, so there plenty to like about his chances.
