It was evident that he was given far too much to do, but the way he stayed on strongly to only be beaten a couple of lengths by Chairmanfourtimes suggests he’s a horse about to strike.

I really like the claims of CARGIN BHUI, who was a massive eye-catcher when third at Doncaster last time out and can build on that to register a first win on the grass.

The handicapper has left his mark unchanged, effectively leaving him so well handicapped on his three placed efforts lags year.

This might be the time ALYANEF finally gets his head in front. Most of his best form has been achieved at Hamilton, including the last twice when making the frame, but I see no reason why he won’t act at this venue.

He fared the best of those that were held-up last time out and the handicapper has only put him up a couple of pounds.

The experience of ICE SOVEREIGNS can see Charlie Johnston’s filly get off the mark. She has shaped well on both starts and finished a good third at Goodwood last time out.

In the hope there isn’t a star amongst the field, I think she will prove difficult to beat.

I am going to take a chance on REENIE’S DREAM, who has shaped with promise on all four starts and was a notable eye-catcher when finishing third on handicap debut at Doncaster three weeks ago.

Open to plenty more improvement, off the same mark, I think she needs serious consideration.

While he’s not getting any younger, JEWEL MAKER won’t have a better chance of resuming winning ways off this career-low mark.
