14.30 HKJC World Pool Lennox Stakes (Group 2)

NOBLE CHAMPION was a brilliant winner of the Jersey Stakes last time out and now that he has finally delivered on early potential, I think he is capable of at least going place in this race. He gets my vote ahead of the previous winner of this event, KINROSS, who runs this course well.

15.05 Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup Stakes (Group 1)

SUNWAY wasn’t far behind Illinois in last season’s St Leger and has the form to go well if staying the distance, but SWEET WILLIAM is my main choice. He finished runner-up in this race last year and gets his opportunity to shine on the big stage with no Kyprios or Trawlerman in the field. I really fancy his chances.

15.45 Coral Golden Rewards Shaker Handicap

JAKAJARO had no luck whatsoever when finishing sixth on the bridle at Ascot last time out, but he left the impression that he has a big win in him and Jamie Spencer will maintain the partnership. REDORANGE has done well to place the last two times from a poor draw at Ascot and has leading claims.

Tips: JAKAJARO & REDORANGE

British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes (Colts & Geldings)

NAVAL LIGHT will find this easier than when eighth in the Norfolk Stakes last time out and had shaped well when runner-up on debut at Beverley. He could prove hard to beat, but HIGH APPROVAL, who sports the same ownership, has placed on both starts to date and has Christophe Soumillon on his back.
