Being the best of these on the Flat, DIGNAM should prove difficult to topple. He was hard held when making an impressive hurdles debut at Newton Abbot seven days ago, so the race probably didn’t take much out of him.
With plenty more to come, and that experience under his belt, it would be a major shock if Joseph O’Brien’s charge couldn’t extend his unbeaten record in this sphere.
Tips: DIGNAM

BLUEBELLA only found one too good over C&D on her penultimate start and backed that up when going down narrowly at Worcester three weeks ago. She’s only been raised a couple of pounds, which seems lenient, so she must be considered as a major contender.

Six-time hurdle winner ENTHUSED won this in good style twelve months ago and made some late progress from off the pace when sixth in last weekend’s Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen. Off a pound lower mark, there’s no reason why he cannot make a bold bid to defend his crown.
Tips: ENTHUSED

MANOTHEPOLE ran well for a long way when sixth in the Summer Cup over C&D last month and this looks a bit easier. He’s refitted with cheekpieces and his jockey can take off a valuable 5lb. The 10-year-old will love the conditions and goes well left-handed, so he should be difficult to kick out of the frame if he can produce his best.
Tips: MANOTHEPOLE
15.37 Stan Price Memorial Handicap Hurdle
Three of these are last-time-out winners, including SAINT BIBIANA, who made it three victories on the bounce when successful over track and trip four weeks ago. She’s up another 7lb, but couldn’t be in better form and the four-timer beckons for this thriving mare.
Tips: SAINT BIBIANA

PRESENTANDCOUNTING isn’t the force of old but he’s too well handicapped at present and there’s a fair chance he will go well if Brian Hughes can get a tune out of him on the front end. He will relish the ground and distance and he’s a C&D winner off a 5lb higher mark. I can see him having a say in the outcome.
Tips: PRESENTANDCOUNTING
