JUBILANT didn’t exactly jump with much conviction last time out, but his ability and a strong Sean Bowen ride got him through it, and he’s sure to be sharper over the larger obstacles now with that experience under his belt. He has every chance of making it two wins in this sphere.

It’s hard to see past WOODLAND ADVENTURE, who made it two wins from two starts with the minimum of fuss over C&D three weeks ago. She is clearly a mare with plenty of raw talent and is fancied to claim a second pot at the Midlands venue for Gordon Elliott.

CURRUMBIN travelled and jumped very well prior to digging deep to score with more up his sleeve than the margin implied over C&D just seven days ago. Turned out quickly, with plenty more to offer, Michael Keady’s charge is fancied to remain unbeaten before moving up in grade.

GETUPTHEYARD has found one too good on his last three starts and seemingly threw the race away at Uttoxeter last month. However, he’s clearly in fine fettle and should again be bang in contention off only a 4lb higher figure. Hopefully he can be rewarded for his consistency.

SCINTILLANTE likes it around here and this C&D winner lost little in defeat when runner-up to an odds-on favourite last time out. He should be thereabouts but AL MOOTAMARID won in good style at Stratford when last seen and an 8lb rise might not be enough to stop him from going in again.
