Aintree Win 6 Preview | 4th April
13.45 Huyton Asphalt Franny Blennerhassett Memorial Mildmay Novices’ Chase
Paul Nicholls is convinced CALDWELL POTTER wants this trip, and having impressed at the Cheltenham Festival last time out, he has a serious chance on a track that should massively play to his strengths. DON’T RIGHTLY KNOW is unbeaten in this sphere and she cannot be dismissed despite her huge odds. HANDSTANDS and DANCING CITY can be noted as well.
Tips: CALDWELL POTTER, DON’T RIGHTLY KNOW, HANDSTANDS & DANCING CITY

WRECKLESS ERIC should relish the step up in trip having finished an unlucky second in the Imperial Cup. WADE OUT looks well treated on his handicap debut and is next best, while KOPECK DE MEE, OFF THE JURY, IMPOSE TOI and LISTENTOYOURHEART are also worth a second look.
Tips: WRECKLESS ERIC, WADE OUT, KOPECK DE MEE, OFF THE JURY, IMPOSE TOI & LISTENTOYOURHEART

ROMEO COOLIO finished a good third in the Supreme last month and this proven Grade 1 winner is respected. He did have a hard race though, and the speedy TRIPOLI FLYER could put his fitness to good use and has a very decent chance with conditions to suit.
Tips: ROMEO COOLIO & TRIPOLI FLYER
15.30 My Pension Expert Melling Chase
JONBON can follow-up last year’s success in this race. I thought he did remarkably well to finish second in the Champion Chase after that terrible mistake. He is a top-class horse and has already beaten El Fabiolo on a few occasions now, so he should be able to resume winning ways here.
Tips: JONBON
16.05 Randox Supporting Prostate Cancer UK Topham Handicap Chase
Paul Townend will ride BLUE LORD instead of last year’s runner-up James Du Berlais, which is interesting. This three-time Grade 1 winner could outclass these if he jumps as well as he can over this distance. EXCELLO is another who could excel in this discipline and is well handicapped off a mark of 132, while MARBLE SANDS and JAMES DU BERLAIS must be respected.
Tips: BLUE LORD, JAMES DU BERLAIS, MARBLE SANDS & EXCELLO

I think BATTLE BORN LAD has a serious chance of collecting this Grade 1 prize. He’s won two really good races in this sphere, including when beating Wendigo on hurdles debut, and he should be ready to give this a serious go from the front. I really like his claims. CALIFET EN VOL got the job done at Huntingdon last time out and is played as cover.
Tips: BATTLE BORN LAD & CALIFET EN VOL
