Fallon Sherrock qualifies for the PDC UK Open 2020

Fallon Sherrock continued her unbelievable rise through darts on Saturday by securing qualification for the PDC UK Open 2020.

Competing in the Rileys Amateur Qualifier for the PDC UK Open 2020 in Wolverhampton, Fallon came through a field of over 200 participants and won the event, dismantling Stuart White 5-1 in the final to book her spot in the Butlins showpiece.

Sherrock will now travel to the Butlin’s Minehead Resort to compete in the PDC UK Open 2020 between the 5-7 March.

The fantastic achievement comes at the start of an incredible couple of weeks for the Milton Keynes superstar who will also travel to Nottingham on February 13th to take on three time BDO World Champion Glen Durrant in the Darts Premier League.

Fallon will hope to emulate another up and coming player, defending champion Nathan Aspinall, who won last year’s event before securing a place in the Premier League.

Although she will be competing as a contender on the night, she will view the stern test as a perfect warm up for the PDC UK Open 2020 a few weeks later.

Sherrock shot to global fame in December when she made history by becoming the first female player ever to win a match in the PDC World Championships, defeating Ted Evetts in the first round. Proving that it was no fluke, she followed up by knocking out Mensur Suljovic in the following round, ranked twelth in the official PDC Order of Merit.

Her fantastic achievement earned her deserved praise from an army of famous faces on social media, including Billie Jean King. The tennis legend was also quick to offer her congratulations to Sherrock after securing her place in the PDC UK Open 2020.
