REVIEWING LAST WEEK’S MILLIONAIRE

The Millionaire pool has been rolling over and last week the jackpot stood at £5,060,223. In a thrilling weekend of Premier League action there were 22 goals in the Millionaire pool games. Let’s review last week’s pool.

Saturday 15:00 Kick Offs

There were two Saturday 15:00 fixtures included in the pool. Sunderland beat Leicester 2-1, as the champions slide continues. The Black Cats now have three wins from their last four as Victor Anichebe reduces the reliance on Defoe for goals.

The other game caused a bit of a shock when Crystal Palace beat Southampton 3-0. Palace managed this with little over 40% possession and facing 17 shots from the Saints. But Pardew’s men stood firm and halted their poor run of form to pick up a much needed three points.

Saturday Evening Kick Off

Saturday night saw a London derby between West Ham and Arsenal at the London stadium. The Hammers woes at home continued as they were hammered by the Gunners 5-1. Alexis Sanchez was in imperious form with a hat-trick and an assist. Arsenal have found their talismanic striker without Wenger spending a penny in transfer fees! The beauty of the Other Away Win selection in our pools, is that these results are covered by the selection.

This result eliminated the remaining units in for the jackpot. But over 7,000 units were still in for our five out of six consolation prize with a £62,118 jackpot.

Sunday Fixtures

Sunday started off routine. Half time and Liverpool were leading Bournemouth 2-0. Nerves began to twitch when Callum Wilson pulled one back from the spot. But Emre Can soon restored Liverpool’s two goal advantage. Then… Goals in the 76th and 79th minute brought Bournemouth back to level terms and the stadium was rocking. In the 2nd minute of injury time, Nathan Ake completed the turnaround. Bournemouth ran out 4-3 winners in what was undoubtedly the game of the weekend.

3.5 units remained in the five of six consolation. They had predicted an other home win.

The late kick off saw Man Utd head to Goodison Park. United were 1-0 up and looked to be heading back with all three points. In the 85th minute, Mourinho brought on Fellaini for Mkhitaryan to ‘shut up shop’. Three minutes later, on his return to Goodison Park, Fellaini made his presence known. The problem for United was that it was in the wrong manner, he gave away a penalty. Baines dispatched of the opportunity and the game finished 1-1.

Three units were one game away from the £62,118 jackpot with five of six correct scores.

Monday Night

Middlesbrough entertained Hull City on Monday night in a crucial game at the bottom of the table. One of the three units backed 1-1 and the other two backed a 1-0 home win. So when Gaston Ramirez scored in the 60th minute, all units were looking strong. No other goal materialised. So two units won £31,058.84 each, despite incorrectly predicting a score!

This is why you shouldn’t forget our consolation prizes! Over £31,000 on LOSING tickets.

This Week

All this means that this week’s Millionaire pool is not to be missed. The jackpot stands at its highest level yet- £5,061,074. Play the pool here.
