Midweek action means we’ve got two round of Premier League action to consider in @DaveTindallgolf‘s Race to the Premier League Player of the Year after Matchday 15.

1/ Raheem Sterling

(Last week: 1)

Given the night off against Watford in Match Week 15 but a few days earlier he’d fired City in front in the 3-1 win over Bournemouth and been the home side’s star player. His numbers are fantastic. Sterling’s tally of eight Premier League goals puts him joint-third in the scoring charts and he’s weighed in with six assists (Ranked: 2nd) too. Playing the best football of his career and deserves a second week at No.1.

2/ David Silva

(Last week: 2)

Not his greatest week – a late sub v Bournemouth and 73 minutes against Watford – but Silva’s body of work this season includes eight goals in all competitions and attacking contributions galore that have led to City netting 45 goals in 15 Premier League games. A joy to watch and hopefully now growing his floppy fringe back as it suits his image as a stylish playmaker.

3/ Virgil Van Dijk

(Last week: 4)

Well, well, now adding assists to his massive contributions in a Liverpool defence which has conceded a league-low six goals. He set up two goals this week, the first in hugely fortunate circumstances against Everton (yep, the Premier League registered his skied shank which led to Divock Origi’s goal as an assist), the second with a brilliant outstretched leg to set up Roberto Firmino and help Liverpool turn the game around against Burnley.

4/ Eden Hazard

(Last week: 3)

The Chelsea playmaker was undoubtedly ‘the man’ for the first part of the campaign but he slips another place this week. While assisting for Chelsea’s second in the 2-0 win over Fulham, he couldn’t help the Blues from slipping to defeat at Wolves. His goal drought extends to two months and the Stamford Bridge men are now losing games as a result.

5/ Harry Kane

(Last week: 7)

Perhaps not scoring in twos or threes but Kane netted in both Match Week 14 and 15 – away to Arsenal and the opener v Southampton – and is now solo second in the Premier League scoring charts with nine. Added an assist v Saints as well to keep Fantasy Managers more than happy.

6/ Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

(Last week: 8)

The first Premier League striker this season to hit the 10-goal mark. The Arsenal star did it in dream circumstances if you’re a Gunners fan, netting twice in an intense 4-2 derby victory over Spurs. That was his fourth brace of the campaign and it’s helped Arsenal go 20 matches unbeaten.

7/ Callum Wilson

(Last week: N/A)

The Cherries frontman briefly dropped out of the top 10 last week after failing to score in a couple of Bournemouth defeats but he’s back with a bang after a fine goal at Man City and the opener in a 2-1 win over Bournemouth. Now has eight Premier League goals and let’s not forget that one on his England debut.

8/ Leroy Sane

(Last week: N/A)

A first appearance in the list for the Man City winger but his knocks have been getting louder over the last few weeks and it’s time to let him in. The opener v Watford was his fifth goal in his last eight City games while he’s provided five Premier League assists. Pep has even got him tracking back too!

9/ Sergio Aguero

(Last week: 5)

It’s competitive inside this top 10 so missing both City games in the last week with a muscle injury sees Aguero drops four spots with others excelling in his absence. Eight Premier League goals and four assists so far.

10/ Glenn Murray

(Last week: 9)

Brighton are into the top half after two wins in a week and Murray continues to play a huge part, setting them on their way against Crystal Palace. That’s eight Premier League goals this season and he’s scored in six of the Seagulls’ seven home games.
