But once you get the terminology sorted, it\u2019s really as simple as a <\/span><strong>Home or Away<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> bet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018Handicap\u2019 in betting is a <\/span><strong>scoring advantage or disadvantage<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> given to the sides before the match, which is then applied to the final result. An advantage is expressed with the \u201c+\u201d symbol, whereas a disadvantage is expressed with a \u201c-\u201d symbol.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The handicap for matches in Colossus pools is always expressed in <\/span><strong>.5 increments,<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which ensure the <\/span><strong>outcome is binary<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> i.e. the draw is eliminated as a possible result.
