Jonny Evans, Manchester United to Everton<\/strong>
\nLikelihood: 4\/5
\nThis deal makes a lot of sense for everyone involved. Although Evans has established himself as a key player in the Manchester United squad in recent years, he’s not quite the defender most United fans want; basically, he isn’t a Vidic or a Ferdinand. He’s solid and reliable without ever straying into the realms of superstardom. Everton could do with a centre-back, particularly if John Stones ends up heading to Chelsea, and Evans would certainly fit the bill. If Martinez can get this deal over the line for around \u00a310m then it would represent a very solid piece of business.<\/p>\n

Charlie Austin, QPR to Newcastle<\/strong>
\nLikelihood: 3\/5
\nNewcastle have already spent around \u00a325m this summer after the purchases of Aleksandar Mitrovic and Georginio Wijnaldum, and it seems that Mike Ashley is not finished yet. Charlie Austin<\/a> is almost certain to leave QPR this summer after shining last season, but his eventual destination is still up in the air. At the start of the transfer window it was clear that Newcastle needed another striker and perhaps Mitrovic will be that player, but I think they still need another top goalscorer. Austin is definitely good enough to bag between 15-20 goals a season, and he’ll shine wherever he ends up. If this deal happens, Newcastle could end up pushing for Europa League next season.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel Adebayor, Tottenham to Aston Villa<\/strong>
\nLikelihood: 4\/5
\nEmmanuel Adebayor is the epitome of the footballing engima. He clearly has talent, and at times has proven himself to be one of the most devastating forwards in the Premier League, but his time in England has been fraught with off the field problems and disputes with management. His time at Tottenham has seen him fall in and out of first team favour, but his career at White Hart Lane hit its peak under the guidance of current Villa boss Tim Sherwood. Many Spurs fans would be happy to see the back of Adebayor, while Villa fans could be forgiven for having at least a hint of scepticism over the transfer, but if Tim can consistently get the best out of him then this could be a master stroke.<\/p>\n

Victor Moses, Chelsea to Tottenham<\/strong>
\nLikelihood: 1\/5
\nThis one has been doing the rounds of late, but I just can’t see it happening. Or maybe I just don’t want it to happen. Moses is a decent player and while on loan at Stoke put in a couple of brilliant displays, but for me he just doesn’t do it often enough. The rumoured fee of around \u00a36m-8m would be a good deal for a mid-table team, but for a side with ambitions of Champions League football he is neither dynamic nor consistent enough. I could see Moses ending up at Everton, perhaps as part of a deal that will eventually take John Stones to Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Angel Di Maria, Manchester United to PSG<\/strong>
\nLikelihood: 3\/5
\nEven though Di Maria has only been with Manchester United for 12 months, his career in England could very well be over before it ever really got started and Jonny Evans isn’t the only United player who could be set to leave. PSG boss Laurent Blanc has not been shy in voicing his desire to bring the Argentine attacker to France, and it is believed Di Maria would be willing to make the switch to Ligue 1, so perhaps this deal isn’t as outlandish as it may first appear. Despite being criticised for his performances during his first season in Premier League, Di Maria managed 11 assists – behind only Cazorla and Fabregas. If he is given a second season in a Manchester United shirt then he would undoubtedly shine, but perhaps LvG believes he would be better served recouping the money and reinvesting. I don’t think this deal will happen, but I expect the rumour to roll on throughout the summer.<\/p>\n
