Hopefully we get off to a good start.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips: A BEAR AFFAIR, DANCE A JIG, THE KALONJI MAN &amp; BLIXEN FORCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>13.50 William Hill Price Boosts Every Day Cammidge Trophy Stakes (Listed)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This strong-travelling five-year-old <strong>MY MATE ALFIE <\/strong>achieved a high level of form for Ger Lyons, winning and placing in multiple Listed events and even finished second in a Group 2 event last August. He wasn\u2019t disgraced on his final couple of starts last term, including a Group 1 at Haydock and will be making his debut for David O\u2019Meara this weekend.\u00a0He ran really well on last season\u2019s reappearance when second, so fitness is unlikely to be an issue and this race should be run to suit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips: MY MATE ALFIE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>14.25 William Hill Epic Boosts Spring Mile Handicap<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>FAR FROM DANDY <\/strong>scored twice towards the end of last year and has shaped very well on both outings this year, including an eye-catching fourth in the Irish Lincoln two weeks ago. Off the same mark, with Colin Keane in the saddle, this Irish raider must have excellent claims. <strong>HIGH ON HOPE<\/strong> is extremely consistent, hardly running a bad race, at least placing in fifteen of his twenty three starts and has caught the eye on his last couple of starts at Wolverhampton, finishing strongly from impossible positions. Off a handy mark, I think he\u2019s a serious player.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips: FAR FROM DANDY &amp; HIGH ON HOPE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>14.57 William Hill Doncaster Mile Stakes (Listed)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This looks like a cracking-looking race and the one to beat is without a doubt <strong>DOCKLANDS<\/strong>. Last season\u2019s Queen Anne Stakes winner looks sure to appreciate the drop in grade and has a good record when fresh. He\u2019s finished a close-up fourth on his last three starts at the highest level and sets a good standard back down in class. If Jamie Spencer can time his run to perfection, then the class act can strike on his seasonal reappearance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips: DOCKLANDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>15.32 William Hill Lincoln (Heritage Handicap)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The more I look at the feature event, the more I like <strong>LA BOTTE<\/strong>. Harry Eustace\u2019s charge was unlucky not to collect the Britannia at Royal Ascot last season (neck-second). He then ran a fine race on his return at Wolverhampton, where he was tentatively handled, staying on well to finish a never-nearer fourth off top weight.\u00a0It was highly likely that return was used as a prep for this event and his fitness edge will give him a distinct advantage over most.\u00a0<strong>LA TRINIDAD<\/strong> always runs well and has become so well handicapped.\u00a0He has plenty of smart course form in the book and ran well under a big weight when third at Beverley last time out.\u00a0He finished a close-up third in the Thirsk Hunt Cup on his return last season and that was a much stronger race than this, and off a higher figure, too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips: LA BOTTE &amp; LA TRINIDAD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>16.05 William Hill Best Odds Guaranteed Maiden Stakes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An intriguing event. <strong>VALENDAY<\/strong> ran so well on his first couple of starts last season, placing at York in warm races for the grades and must have every chance with the experience to draw upon.\u00a0<strong>TURTY TREE<\/strong> ran a good race when runner-up on debut at Newmarket in October and is likely to prove an even stronger proposition this campaign.
