The 2025 summer transfer window is over and over \u00a33 billion has been spent on new transfers across the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur were all busy, but which clubs did the best business?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
1 – Liverpool<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Not only did Liverpool spend more money than any other Premier League club this summer, they added genuine quality to their squad. The Reds broke their transfer record twice to land Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen and Alexander Isak on deadline day. Arne Slot now boasts the most fearsome attack in English football.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This is without even mentioning Hugo Ekitike who has hit the ground running since joining from Eintracht Frankfurt. Jeremie Frimpong arrived as Trent Alexander-Arnold\u2019s replacement at right back while Milos Kerkez came in from Bournemouth as Liverpool\u2019s new long-term left back. Liverpool have a number of new players to integrate, but they are now future-proofed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2 – Arsenal\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This summer for Arsenal was about building out their squad and the North London club did an excellent job of that. Viktor Gyokeres was the most notable addition as the sort of conventional number nine fans called for while Noni Madueke arrived from Chelsea to offer cover for Bukayo Saka.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera were signed to give the defensive line more depth with Martin Zubimendi and Christian N\u00f8rgaard new midfield additions. Zubimendi has the potential to be Arsenal\u2019s Rodri-type figure. Eze, however, could be the most impactful signing. He\u2019s a different sort of attacker to the kind Arsenal already had.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 3 – Chelsea<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Chelsea got almost everything they wanted in the summer transfer window. They wanted a new centre forward and got that in the form of Joao Pedro, who already looks the part for Enzo Maresca\u2019s side, and Liam Delap. The Blues also wanted a new winger and they got two by landing Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Stamford Bridge club wanted a new left back option and so Jorrel Hato came in from Ajax. In an ideal world, Chelsea would have also added a top-level number 10 and a centre back to cover the injured Levi Colwill, but the Blues collected \u00a3300m in transfer fees for outgoing players. Their model is working.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 4 – Manchester City<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Manchester City\u2019s rebuild started in January and continued in the summer transfer window. Tijani Reijnders arrived from AC Milan and has already demonstrated his suitability for the Kevin de Bruyne role in Pep Guardiola\u2019s team. Big things are expected of the Netherlands international this season.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Rayan Cherki joined from Lyon to give City another option in the forward line with the French international capable of operating in a number of different positions. The Etihad Stadium outfit also finally signed a full back by landing Rayan Ait-Nouri, but Guardiola still lacks a natural right back with City\u2019s backline vulnerable in defensive transition.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 5 – Everton<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Everton endured a slow start to the summer after losing no fewer than nine squad members at the end of last season, but ultimately did a good job of preparing David Moyes\u2019 team for the 2025\/26 season. Jack Grealish was the Toffees\u2019 best signing with the England international already their most creative player after only two league starts.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has already established a connection with Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye after joining from Chelsea. Everton have also still to integrate Tyler Dibbling after his move from Southampton, finally giving the Toffees a natural right winger.
